Objective: Create a Nordic/Viking inspired scene in record time!!
Brief Summary:
Windsor Studios reached out with a last-minute need for an atmospheric visual backdrop to support their launch event. They wanted something that felt grounded in nature, cinematic in tone, and rich in visual storytelling — without being overly literal or branded.
There wasn’t time for a full 3D pipeline, so we leaned into AI to develop a series of high-impact visuals that could hold presence across screens and digital environments.
Creative Direction
After a quick alignment on tone, we landed on the concept of a Nordic shoreline village — snow-covered, cinematic, and rooted in stillness. The goal was to evoke a sense of place without distracting from the live experience.
Key visual references included:
- Traditional longships and pitched-roof shelters
- Snow-laced mountain terrain and reflective water
- A soft, desaturated palette with warm timber accents
MidJourney was used to generate multiple visual variations, which were then lightly refined in post to unify tone, increase fidelity, and prepare the assets for projection and screen display.
Outcome
- 2 hero stills used across screens
- 1 animated loop created from still assets for subtle movement during the event
- Delivered in under 48 hours from concept to final export
These visuals helped create an atmospheric anchor for part of Windsor Studios launch — immersive, emotive, and unique to their requirements. While the tools were fast, the execution was still carefully considered — ensuring the final result felt crafted, not just generated.
